The Machine will include Dave and Gillian Welch along with Ketch Secor, Willie Watson and Morgan Jahnig of Old Crow Medicine Show. Acony Records is proud to announce the November 17 release of the Dave Rawlings Machine record, A Friend of a Friend. This is the first record by Dave Rawlings, the guitarist, producer, singer and songwriter best known for his work with Gillian Welch and Old Crow Medicine Show. These long time compatriots join Rawlings on this record beside newer friends Benmont Tench from the Heartbreakers, Karl Himmel, and Nate Walcott of Bright Eyes. Friday, December 8 at the Athens, GA Melting Point Winfield will support Randall Bramblett for a special holiday acoustic solo performance. Both artists will be bringing their solo material to one of Athens most intimate venues.

December 8 Winfield will share this bill with Randall Bramblett who has kept great company over the years. From his early career with Capricorn Records (Cowboy, Gregg Allman, Sea Level) to his more recent tours with Widespread Panic, Traffic and Steve Winwood, he has worked with the best in the business. His solo career began in the mid 1970s with two critically acclaimed albums on Polydor Records (That Other Mile, Light of the Night) and has continued to the present with his most recent releases on Capricorn (See Through Me) and New West Records (No More Mr. Lucky, Thin Places). Currently, Randall tours with his own band, the Randall Bramblett Band, an extraordinary group of pros from the Athens/Atlanta area.

On Saturday, October 14th the band headlined a great evening at Athens' Georgia Theatre for the 2nd Annual Tim Murphy "Hopefest Benefit" with opening act, "The Moby Dicks". The Tim Murphy Hopefest is a not-for-profit annual event that is held to raise awareness regarding brain cancer and to raise money for the American Brain Tumor Association.

Friday, August 11 - S & W return for a third invitation to Atlanta's Turner Field and fourth performance for Turner South Broadcasting (1st was at Philips Arena for the Atlanta Thrashers). Come early for a 6 pm show... the show is free with your Braves ticket!!
